          The story’s genre was more on fictional with a little twist of romance. It portrays a girl who has experienced time travel and reincarnation who later learned the true essence of being loved. She was Carmella Isabella from the 4^th generation of Montecarlos’ family. She was named after the death of the Montecarlos’ youngest daughter which is Carmelita Montecarlos, way back 18^th century. Carmela travelled through time in the year 1892, to complete a certain quest.

          It all started when Carmella visited their province to celebrate her grandmother’s birthday. Upon arriving, Carmella was brought by her grandma to a secret door wherein a mysterious picture was hanged on a wall. She was greatly shock upon realizing that the painted woman looks exactly like her, every detail was of obscure that made her think of numerous questions. Her grandma told her that learning the family’s recipe is a must, and before learning, a diary was given to her. After few days of staying on their province, they all bid goodbye as they go back to Manila.

          Few days later, Carmella was walking on a hall at their university when an old man passes by her. She was quite curious of what was the old woman tightly holding on. She was merely outrage upon looking at the familiar book the woman was holding. She called the old lady to stop from walking but it did not pay attention, so she follows her. Her bare foot brings her to the Arc of Centuries. She had doubts of entering in because of certain hearsay, that whosoever goes into the facility might have the chance not to graduate. But thinking an angry grandma scolding her because of the book she loss is not a good one. Her mind was then full of hesitations, but before she knew what to decide, she was pushed down the floor by the old lady, and everything went black.

           Her head was still aching when she woke up, she was startled upon seeing people from a different outfit, an 18^th century-based look. She had also noticed that the placed changed, but the shocking part was that she was also wearing a long dress same as others, and the people around her, are calling her another name, “Carmelita”. She was screaming out loud, trying to explain she was not Carmelita and that she came from the year 2018. But the people just laughed at her, concluding, she must be crazy and went out of her mind. And then an old lady came across, and brings Carmella in her office.

           The lady introduces herself as Madamme Olivia. She explains everything that happened to Carmella has a purpose. She told her that she was stuck in the year 1892 to change the destiny of Juanito and Carmelita, and that if she fails to do her mission, she might not come back to the present. Madamme Olivia gives her back an empty diary, to write down her own story. She also warned Carmella not to go out unless permitted. But because Carmella was hard-headed and too curious to know the truth, she manages to escape the room and goes out.

          When Carmella was about to cross the street, she was almost hit by a “Calesa”, but saved by a man, Juanito. Carmela went out of conscious, and was carried by Juanito back home. From then, their story of love started. Carmella and Juanito learns to love each other through time. She had also met Carmelita’s friends who were always there by her side, Sonya which is the sister of Juanito, and Helena, Juanito’s secret lover.

          From that time, she had also discover that Carmelita is the only one who loves Juanito but Juanito can’t love her back for he had a secret relationship with Helena.

          Days after, Carmella with her family attended the Montecarlos’ thanksgiving party. Carmella and Juanito agreed to take a walk. Unfortunately, they were caught by their parents near a mango tree, alone by themselves. Their parents suspected that both of them are having a secret relationship and both parties agreed to let their daughter and son be married. Helena got hurt upon receiving the news and warns Carmella to break their friendship if she would not refuse the marriage. Before their engagement party started, Helena and Juanito are caught together causing the marriage of Juanito and Carmella to be stop. Juanito’s parents decided that he must be married to Helena and forgot about Carmella. While Carmella’s father, agreed that Leandro, Carmella’s suitor, would be married to him.

          As days passed, Juanito became a close friend to Carmella, she had also discovered a lot of things concerning her family’s secret. He had also met Eduardo, the secret boyfriend of Maria, which is Carmella’s ancestors, and her older sister Josefina, who served the church. Months came across and Juanito finally falls in love with Carmella. He had expressed his feelings to Carmella, and luckily, she accepted Juanito’s offer of love. But even though they were in love with each other, both of them were against all odds. A lot of tragedies happen and they were parted away from each other.

          On the day of Carmella’s wedding with Leandro, she had discovered the answer to her quest. It was Carmelita all along who killed Juanito for he can’t love her back. She planned the revenge and hired a general to shoot Juanito directly on his chest. But all thanks to Carmella for changing their destiny, she had finally completed her mission and was sent back to the present. But before going back to the present, Juanito have read Carmella’s diary and knew the truth, she then made a necklace with a name carved on it, “Carmella”, and painted Carmella’s picture. Carmella was taken back to the present to continue her own life. While Juanito remained on the year 1892, hoping for Carmella’s comeback. However, Carmella remained on the present year, leaving Juanito alone. Years and years passed by, Juanito got old and died at the age of 90. While Carmella on the other hand, died single. Carmella’s diary was preserved through time, but before dying, Carmella wished that their story would be written again. And so, their soul was reborn and reincarnated, to continue their uprooted love.
